WCIT 2016

The 20th WCIT will take place on October 3-5, 2016 in Brasília, capital of Brazil. The Brazilian Federation of Information Technology Companies (ASSESPRO) is the official organizer of the event, to be held for the first time in South America. The event will gather some three thousand people from more than 80 countries around the world. They include business leaders, senior government officials, innovators, investors and celebrated academics who will discuss topics related to s the promises of the Digital Age and to do business.

DISCUSSING THE PROMISES OF THE DIGITAL AGE
With the theme “Promises of the Digital Age: Challenges and Opportunities,” the 20th WCIT will be staging debates on the role of business leaders, best practices, policy challenges and opportuities as well as digital inclusion and innovation. The goal is to devise innovative technology development strategies as a tool to build an interactive society which promotesadvances in education, healthcare, transportation and other goods and services impacting the quality of life of people in every corner of the world. The event will address how people can utilize technology to improve growth and access by sharing new and innovative ideas and how citizens can be empowered to bring about positive changes to the qualoity of life of people around the world.
